What's Up, Doc?

 

Yes, once again, Ah Doc came to Toronto and surprised us with a tempting Saturday Dim Sum Luncheon Invite @ the Regal Restaurant in Scarborough.  Incidentally, it was also the same restaurant (the old Ruby) where we last had lunch with him and his lovely wife, Jackie, quite some time ago.  Well, Ah Doc 就係 Ah Doc  . . .  super duper intelligent yet humble and low-key, witty and habitually immuned to any overblown silly jokes, insightful and perceptive to past and current world issues.  Really, it was another great excuse for everyone to make time just to welcome our Hong Kong VIP Ah Doc back in town.  My only regret was finding out @ the Dim Sum table that Ah Doc has just lost his beloved 88-year-old late Torontonian father to illness.  As usual, all our alumni group luncheons or dinners are never long enough for jokes and yaks to be had.  Rendezvous Part II will surely take place onboard our Med Cruise in September.
