A Drinking Memory in Summer

You have very good memory. I used to like "Cola" better than the real thing which was 10 cents more.
I really enjoyed reading your nostalgic articles, they led me back down the memory lane and recall sights and smells that were part of my past.

This reminds me of my favorite soft drink in those days. They were Vitasoy (20 c. each) which is now a heathy drink available internationally, and "Dai Tung Lok" (15 c. each) which was the cheapest I could get but had vanished many years ago. Coca Cola was only an occasional luxury for me and in most cases, at wedding banquets. I also recall my father making the "Dai Choi Go" (Agar Agar) by buying 10 or 20 cents of ice from the market to chill it as we didn't had a fridge. Thanks for helping my dump old brain to recall these precious, sweet memories.

Vitasoy is still going strong these days. Another favorite drink of those days which does not seem to be around anymore: Green Spot. Anyone still remembers it?

Yesh, Green Spot is one of my favorite drink. It has the best orange taste and mild and gentle like a young girl. Cola is like a strong guy, quench your thirst and made you burp like a real man. Ha.

I like Green Spot too. It was the only other soft drink that I can finish the whole bottle by myself besides Vitasoy. Remember we used to collect bottle caps too. While we didn't have gameboys & bobby dolls during those days, playing with the bottle caps was one of our childhood games.
